QUAD LVDS LINE RECEIVER WITH INTEGRATED TERMINATION
SUNNYVALE, CA-June 1, 2001-Maxim Integrated Products introduces the MAX9125 and MAX9126 quad, low-voltage differential signaling (LVDS) line receivers. Each device accepts four LVDS input signals conforming to the ANSI TIA/EIA-644 LVDS standard, and translates them to low-voltage LVTTL/LVCMOS output levels. The MAX9126 features integrated termination, which cuts component count and saves board space by eliminating the need for four external resistors. Both products are ideal for applications requiring high data rates, low power, and low noise, such as digital copiers, laser printers, cell phone base stations, telecom switches, and network switches/routers.
Two LVTTL/LVCMOS inputs, EN and EN-bar, can be used to set all four outputs to a high-impedance state and reduce power consumption to only 0.23mW (typ). The enables are common to all four receivers. The MAX9125 and MAX9126 operate from a single +3.3V supply and are specified for operation from -40°C to +85°C. They are available in 16-pin TSSOP and SOIC packages, and are pin compatible with the National Semiconductor DS90LV032. Prices for the MAX9125 start at $2.12 (1000-up, FOB USA). Prices for the MAX9126 start at $2.22 (1000-up, FOB USA).
