MAX5948A/MAX5948B热插拔控制器允许电路卡从带电的背板上安全热插拔。MAX5948A/MAX5948B工作于-20V至-80V电压范围，非常适合-48V电源系统。MAX5948A的引脚和功能与LT1640AL和LT1640L兼容。MAX5948B的引脚和功能与LT1640AH和LT1640H兼容。

MAX5948A/MAX5948B对电路卡的开启过程进行控制，以防止电源摆幅上出现脉冲干扰，并防止损坏电路板连接器与元件。MAX5948A/MAX5948B提供欠压、过压与过流保护。这些器件在向负载加载电源之前，确保输入电压稳定并在容限范围之内。

发生故障时，MAX5948A与MAX5948B通过关断外部MOSFET使系统避免过流与短路。

这些器件具有开漏极的电源就绪状态输出，MAX5948A为/PWRGD，MAX5948B为PWRGD，可以用来使能下游的转换器。

MAX5948A/MAX5948B采用8引脚SO封装。两款器件均工作在-40°C至+85°C扩展级温度范围。
