瓦特(W)是功率测量单位，在物理意义上，1瓦特对应于1秒内传递或消耗1焦耳的能量。电功率由下式计算：

瓦特 = 伏特 x 安培 x 功率因数

对于直流电路或电阻负载的交流电路，可以不考虑功率因数(这些情况下，功率因数为1)。
